Snorkel kits

Snorkels on gasoline engines are used to elevate the air intake above dusty road conditions. Unlike diesel engines (such as Camel Trophy trucks), you should not operate your U.S. model truck in water deeper than Land Rover recommends (about mid axle height) due to possible damage to ECU and other electronic control devices. However, dust can be a real issue, and a raised air intake usually pulls engine air from a much cleaner environment. It's particularly helpful in deep growth or brush, and soft dirt or desert roads.
